I don't really want to rate this because like ??? Nothing happened???
They go to a fencing camp and they fence. Like that's it. No major plot points. Nothing.. And the ending, the Nicholas and Seiji ending was just amaaaaazing. But still, I need MORE. Especially when you have to wait literal years for new volumes.
The thing is, I knew it would be a slowburn both for Aiden/Harvard (I love them so much) and Nicholas/Seiji (I love them so much) because it's C.S. Pacat. Like, I've read Captive Prince so many times it's embarrassing at this point. She loves a slow burn. But at least I found CP when it was finished and I could binge it.

OH MY GOD I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. I THOUGHT THIS WAS JUST GOING TO FALL INTO THE VOID OF UNFINISHED SERIES BUT IT'S *NOT* IT'S GETTING ANOTHER VOLUME AND I AM SO. FREAKING. EXCITED.

Honestly I wish these were much longer. I love everything about this story and how it's told. I hope the next volume comes soon, because the entire volume was a bit like half a chapter. I see the effort that goes into this, but I do wish that we had more story. Still, I've not been so charmed by anything since I read Harry Potter as a child, so I won't be taking any stars off, and I will be waiting for the next volume.

I cannot express my love for this enough! Like oh-my-god, this series started out a bit boring but it quickly picked up. And I'm not a super fan of slow burn (because I'm usually screaming at the characters stupidity but not in this one) but this is done so nicely and realistically.
Plus I like all the characters! Even their rivals (minus Jesse but I'm pretty sure we're about to get a backstory on him so that'll probably change), everybody has their faults and strengths.
It's just so damn good and you should go read it!
