Although it isn't necessarily bad it's definitely unimaginative. As science fiction it fails to add anything to the game's mythology and as action its by-the-numbers recitation of events is less entertaining than watching a friend play the game.

Considerably better than the first one. Could still take a moment to slow down and expand the story before MC starts blowing up more stuff, but it’s an improvement.

I don’t have much to say about this. It’s a novelization of the game so it can only do so much, but it didn’t do too bad. Dietz built the world up a bit with characters that we don’t see in the game and that was nice. I can’t really rate on plot as it was sort of pre-determined by another media but this was just okay, overall.
