There is a stark difference between the main novels in this series and the "bridge" short stories. This may be the best in the series, so far. With only one "bridge" and one more main novel left, I will know soon.

In All Fall Down, the unlikely team of Agent Sariah Cooper and ex-agent Joshua, along with Reggie and Had, continue to hunt the killer known as Humpty Dumpty. Much to their dismay, Agent Salazar is added to their team (he doesn't get along with anyone), and a new forensic specialist, Agent Lobo, is also added.

The action starts quickly and doesn't really slow down in this one. I lost count of how many bombs exploded in the vicinity of our team of suspect hunters. The cryptic notes keep showing up at places that not many people know they are going to, which leads them to suspect that there is a mole.

Agent Cooper starts out being totally useless, as she has been ever since one suspect offed himself in the first main novel, Humpty Dumpty, but actually pulls it together in this story. There are several plot twists along the way, and the big reveal was completely unexpected (as evidenced, as well, by multiple reviews I've seen for this book).

I'm actually looking forward to reading the concluding novel, Jack & Jill, but first I must endure another "bridge." I could skip it, I suppose, but I'm stubborn that way, and I have the whole collection in one file on my Kindle.
