Beautiful. Breathtaking. Like the person in a Greek myth who makes one of the gods stop caring about being a god.

I think I would have liked this book a bit more if I actually finished it when I picked it up for the first time (almost 6 years ago now). My interest peaked when there were about 70 pages left and the story started to really take an angsty turn.

That being said, there are some parts of this book that just don’t sit right with me considering all the articles I’ve seen over the past few years. Happy it is off my TBR and of my ‘Currently Reading’ list.

I love this book with my whole heart. It is tense but it is one of those books that everyone should read. It truely sticks with you, and it leaves you full of hope for a better tomorrow for the characters. Plus the writing is great and fast paced so it is a quick read.

it has an open ending which I typically don't like but for this story, it's the perfect ending.
