Surprised at how often the writing left me on the edge of my seat. I really felt as though I was in her mind. My heart was also played with, can't say much more than that.

For me, Carrie Soto is Back is another read enhanced through audiobook narration. A sportscasting format added perspective and built excitement in a way I may have overlooked had I read to myself. Although tennis scoring is still way above my head, I can now say I enjoy the sport enough to watch King Richard.

“We live in a world where exceptional women have to sit around waiting for mediocre men.”

Once again: addictive, compelling writing style and a strong female lead. All packed in the interesting world of tennis.

5+ stars.
