This is probably my favorite in the series. I love these books! There’s a reason that I’ve re-read them so many times. They are my comfort reads, and I love them.

I started re-reading this back in March when we came down with covid. I can't imagine any better comfort read than this tale of Patty's Place. :) At the same time, it does remind one vividly of how agonizing it is to be twenty.

Unsurprisingly, this one is just as lovely as you'd think. There are more variations between the Sullivan TV series and this book than in the prior books, but the changes make sense.

I'm so glad to return to reading these books. This is the third in the series. It covers Anne in college and moves her firmly into adulthood. We are introduced to Phil, who I hope remains prominent because she and Davy provide great comic turns. The story arc with Gilbert takes some unexpected turns. And I will be missing Rusty, Patty's Place and Gog and Magog in future installments: Montgomery nails the bittersweet quality of the transitional times in life.
