Probably my favorite of the series, and revisiting it reminded me why. We should all be so lucky as to live in a darling house with our friends and some cats at least once in our lives. (I say in my darling house with my friends and cats.) And, of course, Anne and Gilbert get their acts together.
I know this book is written in a different time, but the cruelty to animals just hits me so hard.
And the story is dull, I truly dislike that there’s no development with Gilbert or Roy, it’s mentioned but not developed, so is shallow and boring, at the end you are like “oh it’s been 2 years? I barely know the guy”
Stella and Priscilla are used as left overs, is sad.
Phil is annoying.
Anne becomes such a Mary Sue, her spark and uniqueness is gone, and the story is just a bunch of tales surrounding Anne, the perfect Anne, is disgusting.
I wanted to read the whole series but honestly I’m so disappointed that I’m not going to try.
