I really needed things to start sooner and not in the last 50ish pages. But girl... if she would have stopped and LISTENED, they would have been unstoppable.

I'll start by saying I actually really like CJ Leede's writing. Her word choice, vivid descriptions, well constructed characters (despite the insanity) was truly impressive. 
The amount of times I had to pause and process the insanity that I read was too many to count. I'm awful with gore descriptions, if you are too, this isn't the book for you. It was, to say the least, a LOT.

I loved this from the first sentence, and I read about 3/4 of it, but Maeve got too disgusting and disturbing for me and I put it down, intending to DNF it. But I kept thinking about it… Had to go back and finish it off. Unfortunately, I’m not sure the ending

(starting with the drugging, torture, and murder of Andre and Liz, which is where I tapped out)

was as good as the rest of the book. Anyway, not for the faint of heart.

Dark as all hell, delicious, raunchy, terrifying, entertaining, sexy, psycho,  and some parts disgusting. Amazing to listen to in audiobook form. Maeve is CRAZY and I love her!
