I really didn't like this. Maeve is just so unlikeable. She has no redeeming qualities at all. I've seen other reviews praising her for being a feminist icon but really? She targets women she doesn't like and sexually assaults them in the most disturbing way before killing them.

I feel this this story aimed to be shocking and different, but the execution was just so horribly done.

This book was actually so bad that it pissed me off.

Spiraling nepo baby but make her April from parks and rec reimagined as a Disney adult. “I’m not like other girls” in the most annoying way possible

Easily in the running for one of my favorite books of the year.  I love love love this awful woman.  Sometimes the way she would think about things and especially the way she was analyzing and characterizing her relationships with other people was just a little too relatable for me! My favorite detail might have been
dropping teeth in the jar at the bar.
  That's gonna stick with me

A Disney princess murdering people? Iconic. Her only going on a murdering spree in the final act of the book? A big flopppp. Also like why was this partially a romcom? I didn’t need her to fall in love, I needed her to kill ppl. Thank u next.

this was so bad idk how it has such a high rating? the ending was bad and the characters were so flat nothing about this was enjoyable. i think i could have liked the ending if i cared about romance of if they at least seemed to have some chemistry beyond being freaky as hell together. i actually liked the grosser scenes, but i think they would have worked better as a shorter story. i think it is trying to be too many things at once- its trying to be an extreme horror and a romance (?), and supposedly feminist and a joke abt disney? it just doesnt work. there are a few good points abt feminism but there are too many problems for me to care abt any of them
i also HATED how she acted sround kids it was weird and felt like being edgy for the sake of it. i dont think you can write a gorey torture book and try to push some political message unless you do it well (this books does not do that)
