Ugh so cute! This book left me giddy and smiling like an idiot, and I loved it.

The characters were exquisitely written. I loved seeing them through their partner's eyes and perspectives, and getting to know Dev and Charlie better through their thoughts. Their romance was not only adorable, but healthy, supportive, and respectful, and I absolutely loved that! The side characters were also well developed and I could see myself being friends with some of them.

Though this book is set through filming on a reality dating show, one does not need to be a fan of The Bachelor/Bachelorette to appreciate this book. I haven't seen one single episode of that show, and I never will, and I still very much enjoyed this story. I loved the dialogue and silly and fun banter, the behind the scenes absurdity of filming a dating reality show, and the ending! Oh, my heart.

While being charming and positive, The Charm Offensive also sheds light on what it's like living with depression and anxiety. Mental health is health, and I'm so glad to see it represented here so accurately and well done. As someone with anxiety and panic attacks, I felt seen.

This book very much reminded me of Betting on Love by Maria Ann Green, so if you liked this one, or One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London, you'll LOVE Betting on Love. Please read it, it's fun and adorable and sexy as hell!

⚠️CW: Depression, biphobia, some steam/sexual content, panic attacks, vomit.
