Not my favorite of this series, which I usually enjoy very much. I’d up to a 3.5 if the scale allowed it.

I’m not a fan of the Catherine Ling character.

I think this might be the first Iris Johansen book I’ve ever given three stars to. The plot was interesting but the middle of the book seemed really similar to many of her others. The last twenty pages or so were excellent and different but overall, I was disappointed.
