Although I figured out some plot points and reveals early on this book kept me interested and gave me lots to keep me interested throughout.. I wondered which point of view were going to intersect and how and it was fun to watch how that unfolded. After all of the major Points were revealed. There was some things that still didn’t quite make sense to me but overall, I was happy with the way this book used a well worn trope.

Really great story with twists I didn’t see coming. I think I would have liked it better if I read the book rather than listened. It was a bit confusing to follow at points with several characters and story arcs. And the narrator voicing different characters was rather irritating sometimes.

Very twisted, tackles grief and suffering; the obsession with revenge.

I enjoyed the multiple character perspectives and was caught off guard at how they intertwined.
The two timelines was definitely a surprise!

I was rooting for Amanda, but it was difficult reading about her continued stalking of Crone. Her grief and desire for justice consumed her entire life.

Lots of twists. Taking notes helped me while reading. But the one thing that I can't let go is
Farrow just being able to let Amanda ofd the hook. Does Hernandeznot care? Maybe a partial DNA match is not all that incriminating.

I thoroughly enjoyed how gripping this was, but I did feel wanting more for the ending.

A very engrossing, fast-paced thriller I read on one long sitting. The story is layered, albeit a bit far-fetched, but nevertheless interesting and engaging. There are plenty of excellent twists and many caught me off guard. You definitely keep going, hoping to figure out what the hell is going on. The only part that didn't work for me is the ending. I saw the final twist coming, which per se is no big deal. But without giving anything away, that twist and the subsequent last few chapters felt unfinished on two dimensions. A couple of more chapters to tie up the story would have been needed. So while everything else worked for me and this was a great pageturner, the last 5% left me not quite satisfied. Still, fully recommend this read, the good reviews are well deserved.

I wanted to read this book because I love Steve Cavanagh’s Eddie Flynn series, at first, I thought this was another edition of that series and then realized it was a standalone. However, I fully enjoyed this book.

This book has several points of view. In one dark evening in New York City, two strangers meet by chance. Over drinks, Amanda and Wendy realise they have so much in common. They both feel alone. They both drink alone. And they both desperately want revenge against the two men who destroyed their families. Together, they have the perfect plan. If you kill for me, I'll kill for you.

I feel like I could ruin this book just by trying to describe it and that annoys me, but I also love it. I feel like this review is going to be vague due to the fact that I don’t want to spoil anything about this novel. All I would say is if you judge it quickly, you will be shocked. The twists and turns in this book just completely shock you. Steve Cavanagh knows how to hook you in from the first sentence and just from the first chapter. There is multiple POVs from the main three characters and the law enforcement officer which keeps it every interesting. I didn’t trust anyone during this book at all, even when it got to the end, I still don’t trust the main characters. Steve Cavanagh always does short chapters which I don’t usually love, however in this book it worked and if it had longer chapters I think I would have struggled with it.

The one thing I missed from this book that are in the Eddie Flynn books is the courtroom tension and the drama that comes with the lawyers. Overall, this book is action-packed and thrilling. Just a warning it talks a lot about murders and death and is quite graphic.
