I haven't read Strangers on a Train (but I will) or seen the movie, but knowing the concept is enough to enjoy this author's homage. It was fun to watch the different storylines come together. I love it when I don't guess the twist.

This was fine, entertaining even, but very underwhelming in my opinion. Several early reviews described this story as intricate and twisty, but I would describe it as convoluted and meandering. I think the authors who blurbed this novel and called it brilliant, explosive, sophisticated, yada yada yada, made a Review for Me, Review for You pact with Cavanagh. And that’s the kind of fresh take on Highsmith’s novel I’d actually be interested in reading.
