The book was alright. It had good action, a nice premise and buildup, and interesting historical facts. However, I was a little under whelmed with the ending’s big reveal. I expected this book to be about some large government conspiracy but it ended up being more about family drama and relationships. I did like the father-daughter dynamic of the two main characters though and the fact that a romantic relationship was not the basis of the story. So overall, it was a decent read!

An exciting thriller with a lot of great trust and some interesting ties to history. Really enjoyed this one. Others by Meltzer are superior, but I highly recommend this one, just the same.

I won this book in a giveaway. The book started strong. I liked Zig's character and backstory. Nola was an interesting too, though I prefered the chapters on her childhood to the present-day chapters. I gave it 3 stars because when Horatio's identity was revealed, even though I didn't know who it was going to be, I didn't have that sense of "Oh my God! I can't believe it!" like I expect with a twist. I just didn't really believe the person who was Horatio could have actually become Horatio, based on what we knew about him. I would definitely read more about Zig, just to see if he has moved forward at all or found happiness.

I don't usually read this kind of book but a stranger highly recommended it so I read it. Good choice. It was hard to put down.
