I really struggled with how to rate this book. On one hand, I found the lengthy monologues about political social theory a bit tiring and hard to get through, but after page 274 I was enthralled. This books starts slow and concludes at truly breakneck speed, as you watch everyone hurtle through their own decision making to the conclusion. This book also had the unique appeal to make work a multi POV story distinctly unlikable characters. Even when the characters were directly in opposition to each other, I found myself rooting for whoever’s POV I was in at the time, a mark of true talent.
