I read this collection a long time ago, and before I reread it now I only remembered parts of 2 of the short stories. After this reread I can see why, as out of 53 short stories I only really liked 6 of them. This is now the 3rd short story collection by a straight cis American man in comedy that I have read, the others being Goodbye, Again: Essays, Reflections, and Illustrations by Jonny Sun and Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory by Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Since they are comparable, I will rank them in that same order with One More Thing ranking last in 3rd place. The short stories I liked were "No One Goes to Heaven to See Dan Fogelberg", "Sophia", "They Kept Driving Faster and Outran the Rain", "Kellog's (or: The Last Wholesome Fantasy of the Middle-School Boy)", "Closure", and "The Best Thing in the World Awards."

I didn't love this book at the beginning but it grew on me. Stories are hit or miss. To my surprise, the longer stories were often stronger than the shorter stories; I was surprised because a lot of these stories are funny, and brevity is the soul of wit.
