I loved this book! I think it is my second favorite so far, after Outlander. Even though there are a lot of dramatic, tense, and somewhat tragic events, I found this book to be very peaceful. I loved the descriptions of life on the Ridge and I loved seeing the family dynamics and connections between all of the characters. The writing is also beautiful and lyrical
