I think the FMC is my least favorite part. She’s kinda dumb??
This book had sooo much going on. If the pacing would’ve been fixed in books 2 & 3, this one could’ve been less dense. It felt like we were trying to tie up allll the loose ends, and yet, some were still loose by the end?

450 pages and what actually happened? Very dissatisfied with the last book of this series, apart from Julian and Thea getting married (finally) and finding out they are having a baby what the hell was this book about? The last 50 pages seemed to have the only important storyline (magic is free whoopee) but there are so many storylines that Lee started in this book and in no way did she tie them up.

Lysander and Aurelia? Who knows what’s happening there - he’s besotted but just found outs she’s a fae and because of her vow to the throne they would be tethered but now he can’t seem to stand in the same room as her?

Camilla and Jacqueline? Well apparently they’re taking the rites together with no contention from the council which I find hard to believe

Camilla’s children? They just appear and everything is sunshine and rainbows?

Thea’s mum? Well she could be dead, could be alive… Thea doesn’t seem all that bothered as the book ends with her on her honeymoon and her mother’s location and outcome of Fae promise undetermined.

Thea as a succubus? Eclipsed the third book and yet barely touched on in the fourth…

Honestly left me wondering what the hell this series is all about

Been too long since I listened to the last one and this just wasn’t holding my attention.
