This is the author’s debut novel, and while she shows a lot of promise as an author, this book just wasn’t it for me. I wasn’t a fan of the characters or the writing style, and the plot limped along way too slowly for a thriller. The idea of getting a story from the point of view of the wife of a serial killer was beyond interesting to me, but unfortunately, the execution ultimately fell flat. However, I will say that even despite my criticisms, this book kept me engaged enough that I never really considered DNF’ing it…and I am a notorious DNF’er.

This was soooo boring and one note the entire time. I hated every character and didn’t care who was guilty of what or who knew how much by the end. And that final “twist” 🙄 This was like a bad British soap opera

I'll be honest, at the beginning it kept me entertained and wanting to know what would happen, but as the story progresses it becomes slow, repetitive and with dialogues that don't feel natural. I hated Beth so much.
Thrillers can be a little predictable but this left my chin on the floor.
Now, I’m not saying some parts weren’t typical of thrillers, but I feel they almost lulled you into a false sense of security so when a twist came you were left speechless.

Good fast paced book, I liked the short chapters. Story was very interesting and I liked the ending.
