3.5*. Good read. The first time I have read this author. It was quite fast paced and had a few twists and turns. I had already guessed the end though, hence 3.5*.

I didn’t think I’d like this as much as I do. A very interesting and gripping story that was very fast paced. Loved the flashbacks as well.

Predictable & clichéd. Characters are wooden & poorly (barely) fleshed out. MC is sickly sweet. To an extent this fits with the story but the foreshadowing generated by her thoughts & behaviour is just muddled. I finished it just to confirm what I already knew, but I wasn’t overly fussed by the unexplained “mysteries” (obvious next-episode prep). After I’d let my impressions brew overnight I realised it felt like the book had been written as a standard formulaic police procedural then, on realising the tale was fairly ordinary, the chapters were shuffled & several plots shoe-horned in, in an attempt to rescue the effort.
WOW WOW WOW!! Perfect choice for me to get back into reading!
I really enjoyed the twists and turns that come in this book - it had me hooked from the start and kept me turning the pages the whole way through!
It feels like a typical boy and girl have perfect life - something happens that makes girl question her whole life with boy and THEN the twists happen and personally I didn’t see them coming!
This book is written for the most part flicking between two different perspectives of the story with a 3rd appearing now and again so if you don’t enjoy a book that is told from different characters it’s maybe not for you.
