A wonderful story of frenemies to lovers, showing the thin line between love and hate.
Ike has had a bad couple of years. After everything in his life is turned upside down, losing his job of 20 years has put Ike at loose ends.
Riss never wants to admit to needing help. Now she is in the position of needing lots of help.
I love this story of two very stubborn people that find out it is ok to need help and not have all the answers every once in a while.

I forgot how much a I like Lorelei’s cowboys. I wish these series never ended seriously I love the way she makes these men so rugged and yet down to earth.
Ike is no different I love the way he takes care of his family even if they take him for granted. I loved the back and forth he and Riss have. It fun and witty and just keeps you interested.
Riss is a take charge kinda gal whether that is because she grew up with three yes three brothers or what but she doesn’t want to want or need help from anyone. SO when she is hurt and needs help well she isn’t the best patient.
I loved how sassy these two were with each other and how they end up as a couple. I like that they communicated and if things got heated they took a cooling off period.
Fantastic narration as always she can do a male voice like nobody’s business!

Awesome as only Lorelei James can deliver each and every time! Sexy and real characters. Passionate hate/love that explodes off the pages.
Racked and Stacked
By Lorelei James
I have been salivating for this book for quite a while now. We have met Riss Thorpe and Ike Palmer numerous times in other books but other than their verbal assaults towards each other we really didn’t get a lot of their back story or even really get to know them.
Riss is a ball busting truck driver who doesn’t take flack from anyone, most of all stock-seller Ike. However we learn that Ike grew up fast after the loss of his mother when he took over as primary guardian of his three sisters. Riss is the youngest Thorpe sibling and only girl. Her older brother found himself in a similar situation and she was raised without a mother figure by her tough but loving brothers.
Having seen the two interact before I knew they would have an explosive sexual relationship but what I didn’t anticipate was the tender feelings and sweet way both of them learn how to grow together since neither one has ever really dated and are learning the ropes.
Riss ends up needing someone to help her after a bad accident and Ike jumps at the chance after they realized they could be friends. The dynamics are so changed due to her limitations that you are never quite sure what will happen.
I loved Racked and Stacked because we really were able to learn more about both Riss and Ike and their families. Lorelei James has also given me my new favorite relationship quote!
- Relationships are like assholes. Anyone who tells your theirs is pretty and perfect is full of shit
You do not NEED to read the books before this but I really recommend starting at the beginning because you will quickly realize that the other characters are going to draw you in too.

Another great story in the Black Top Cowboys series. Ike and Riss have a love hate relationship, they love to hate each other. Until their respective best friends decide to tie the knot. That is when they choose to call a truce. I really enjoyed reading this enemy to lovers story. I’ve been hoping these two would get their own book and I’m glad they finally did. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
Riss doesn't know how to be invisible. She makes herself heard. Her brash personality is her calling card. She's no wilting violet. She can keep up with any man. Unfortunately what is her most appealing quality is also a painful cross for her to bear. She wants to be true to herself, but will it end up costing her a chance to be loved? Lorelei James goes beyond the armor and exposes what makes Ike and Riss a perfect match. Racked and Stacked is not just a romance. It's about staying true to your heart despite the inconvenience. Ike and Riss wear their flaws proudly, however what each fails to realize is that the imperfections are perfectly placed to help the uniqueness shine through. James and her dueling duo headline an important message with laughter and heart. Loved it!!

Racked and Stacked is part of The Blacktop Cowboys series and if you read Hang Tough you could have guessed the hero and heroine of Racket and Stacked.
It was hate at first sight for Riss and Ike but they decided on a truce for their best friend's wedding and it turned out that they don't hate each other as much as they thought.
I really enjoyed reading Racked and Stacked, the romance between Riss and Ike is very different from other books in the series.
Both of them are at a point in life where they feel like nothing is going right , they have no job security and plenty of money worries but that what made it so easy to fall for them as characters and made me enjoy the story so much- the fact that they weren't perfect people, with a perfect job and lots of money- they are real people and as a reader it's easier for me to relate and get invested in a story when I can feel close to the characters.
I felt that Lorelei James wrote a complex story with well-developed characters that had to overcome a lot of problems in order to find true love and happiness.
Ike is not your typical Alpha hero, he's not super confident and at times he was depressed because of his job problems but he's very proud and doesn't want to tell his sisters and friends how bad he feels and how his buiesness is about to go down. When Riss moves in with Ike after her injury she makes him take a long hard look at his life and make some changes that will make him happier.
Riss has issues of her own, she is afraid of true intimacy and it's very hard for her to trust people but slowly Ike is showing her that he's not looking to change who she is and that she can trust him to help and suppert her.
I really enjoyed reading about Ike and Riss , their love story took time and I enjoy reading their journey to love.
As always with Lorelei James' books I could tell that she did a great research on all topics in the book and the extra details added to my enjoyment.

Ike and Rissa have a truce because their best friends are getting married. This gradually turns into a relationship for them. Rissa drove me crazy. I never really felt anything for this couple and would have been just as happy if they hadn't gotten together...
I loved Riss and Ike’s story! If you’ve read any of these books... you’ve seen Riss and Ike fight and hate on each other... they seemed to be mortal enemies...l until they were both asked to be part of Jade and Tobins wedding and agreed to a truce!
I’ve been waiting for the day when their story to be told. I was NOT disappointed! I loved every minute of this book! There are so many ups and downs in this that you never really know what will happen.... gen though you think you do.
Thank you for giving arias and Ike their own story! I was hoping they’d get one!
