Wanted the book to focus more on the abduction than the love story.
I loved you then, I love you now, I’ll love you until my dying day.
A lotus will bloom even in the murkiest of waters.
After Still Beating, I was anxious to get to this read! This did not disappoint. I was missing Dean and Cora at the beginning and I was happy to see names pop up in this read! I do feel my heart got invested in all of these characters! Oliver, Syd, Gabe, Clem, Tabitha!
There was a common number within each book, that was 22. Now it may be the accountant in me, but this number popped up a lot.
Oliver was a boy (then) held / kidnapped for 22 years. He broke free, ran and had to reacquaint himself with family/society. As fate would have it, his childhood best friend and him do fall in love but not with ease. They’re a magnetic force that definitely had its struggles but also breakthroughs.
I did not see the unexpected twist coming and was shocked as to who the culprits were!
Once you find out what LOTUS means it makes your heart warmed even more! There is one more book in this series and I am truly looking forward to it!
I do NEED a follow up on Gabe and Tabitha! I need to hear how they’re doing!

I'm really disappointed by this book. I've read Still Beating (which was great) but this book feels like it's been written by a different author.
I found the FMC, her sister and friends to be really unlikeable. The plot just wasn't believable and certain parts just made me feel uncomfortable. Like when they were sexualizing the MMC who sounded like he had the brain of a child... Weird.
