I enjoyed the romance and got some good laughs out of the banter.
The story would have been better if it just focused on the romance and didn’t get so into the weeds of who kidnapped Oliver and why…!

Although her stories can have heavy themes intertwined her stories, her characters and their development of dealing with the trauma are worth any uncomfortable feelings I experienced- however, do check the trigger warnings if you are sensitive to certain topics.
Another beautiful love story, with so much depth that I once again got emotionally involved, reducing me to tears and laughter in certain parts of their story.
I did pick the twist, but it definitely didn’t ruin the story for me.
Can’t wait to read another of her books, they have all been 5 star reads for me so far!

I appreciated Sydney’s character growth and that her fears and hesitations didn’t feel redundant. I LOVED the way everything came together. Only Jennifer Hartman can make me feel empathy and understanding for characters that probably DO NOT deserve it.

this topped still beating for me. oliver has become one of my favorite fictional characters, he is so wise and caring and thoughtful I ADORE HIM. oliver and sydney have a special place in my heart, their love is unmatched
