I've just finished reading this book and I don't really have words to describe it.
The only thing I want to mention is that I didn't really liked last few lines of the book, but that's probably because I'm not British and Brexit didn't really touched me as it did with the Brits.

Very well-written, but too cynical and absurdist for me personally. I would have probably enjoyed this book much more if I had read it as a young adult. Reading it in my thirties, I found it tragic and depressing. But worth the read nonetheless.

Such a fun trilogy! Very excited to explore what else J. Coe has out there.

Almost 5. I loved this book. I like a book that says something about them human condition’. This has been called the Brexit book and Brexit does figure a lot in it. He is biased of course. But in the same direction as me. I listened to this on Audible and couldn’t fault the Brummie accents (and believe me I know). I thought Benjamin copped out at the end though. (No spoilers).

I really struggled to get through this book, there’s not much of a plot and didn’t feel anything towards the characters either. It probably didn’t help that hearing about brexit as if it was happening again gave me a little ptsd, it was a nightmare first time round and I don’t really want to relive that! I don’t think this book was a good fit for me.
