As with every story, by Iain R. Wright, that I have read (and I am absolutely thrilled that he is such a prolific and creative writer) Defiance is near perfection. The world Mr. Wright has built and populated pulled me in and held until, suddenly, it was 5:00 am and the last page had been turned. Then I was sad that it was not another 6 hours of reading. Yes, I am greedy. That's why I read it twice before I wrote this review. Indeed, I do highly recommend you read this terrifying story. Even though you can read it as a stand-alone, why would you want to miss out on the first three books in this series?
