Seriously David Fenne you broke my heart with this one. I need the next one so I've obviously ordered it but this also took me a few days to digest, and I seriously hope someone takes up the task of turning this series into a movie series because you have outdone yourself. Initially I thought the second book wasn't as good as the first one. I will not lie, the first half had me gritting my teeth and of course, we have to have the dead return in book two. Don't we?
Normally when I write reviews I would have a pattern that I follow. But this book needs the raw review that hopefully will pull other people into reading it because in every way possible what the fook happened- but also the chaos? The chaos wonderfully got me ready for the finale and I know it is going to be a great one.
But you didn't have to go so hard and rip my heart out. Didn't need to put so much drama in this book- only I didn't realise til I was on the last 50 pages how diabolical and masterfully wrote this trilogy has been.
Why are people not talking about it? We need people talking about it. I can't believe I'm saying this- this throws stranger things away for me. This is my all time favourite series and for me, the fact book three is out and also now I'm waiting for it to come in the mail- it has broken my heart because its coming to an end and I've just got to wait for the last book.
I very rarely buy books for the full retail price but this series is worth it. This series has screwed with my perception and fixed it so many times.
I love how the POV in this book isn't just a chapter, it can change multiple times throughout.
David Fenne you better be writing another book series because I'm absolutely hungry and this will be the first book series I read and reread the entirety of.
I can't believe its coming to an end. I can't believe I'm sat waiting for the third book. Thank god my library had this series. The level of heartbreak I'm going through right now- even ice cream can't help me.
I didn't know how to put this on the paperback version. I read this on paperback. I borrowed from my library. I've also ordered my own copy.
I wish this had a special edition I could buy its killing me it doesn't but eh if one ever gets released. If David Fenne has 1 fan. Its me.

4.5 stars!
I love this universe and I love this series. Its such an interesting concept and the ending was insane! It felt like the ending in the second spiderman movie with the bad guy broadcasting to the entire world thar the protagonist is the evil one. I can't believe it ended on that cliff hanger. I will definitely be reading the next book when it comes out.

4/5
The sequel to Overemotional (4/5) sees Steven, Troy and Freya start university and navigate the stresses of new adulthood while recovering from their defeat of Zachary. Meanwhile, the secretive DEMA wants to use Steven and Troy's powers to help round up more emomancers. But something's not right...
Another fast-paced, fun adventure for the group, with an explosive finale that sets up book 3. Shows how easily even close friendships can struggle and snap in new environments.

Not quite as good as the first book in my opinion but still excellent. It was very relatable. That cliffhanger though. It can't just end there!!! The next book isn't even out yet.
