I have stumbled across a couple of books lately about older women coming into their power, and let me tell you, I am here. for. it. This book was a fantastic read about three women in later life discovering the power within themselves and using that to help younger women - primarily by discovering who is assaulting and killing them in their area. Each one brings a particular power to the group - seeing dead people, creating fireballs, or a deadly knowledge of plantlife - and they are each finding where they belong and really WANT to belong in society. I loved loved loved this book. And also I want to be Harriet. That is all.

This was very good! It explores femicide and women's rage and vengeance and friendship and how rich men escape justice. Also some good critique of the true crime industry and obsession. I like that this book also tells the stories of the women/girls murdered, instead of them just existing for the mystery of finding the killers etc.

CW: rape, murder, sexual assault, death, violence, police incompetence, classism

A delightfully revengeful, feminist rage fueled novel.  Lovable characters, funny as fuck and botanically inspiring. This story is fantastic. I wish to be like Harriett Osborne  when my hair grows silver.

This was a mystery-thriller to my liking. It took some time to connect to the vibe but once I got there, I really enjoyed my time reading.

I saw some reviews criticizing that almost all men in this books were portrayed as pure evil and not realistic enough. I did not mind this at all since it allowed me to really relish the revenge (sweet alliteration).

A great book about female rage that I would definitely recommend.

Well. I was halfway thru writing a review and the app shut down on me and I lost it all. So all I’ll say is it was a solid 4/5.
A super fun book and it made you fall in love with three different women who somehow all represent a piece of who you are. Would definitely recommend to another.
