Nessa, Jo and Harriet all discover different powers/abilities in their middle age - part of the story is their growth into these abilities, but the majority is the use of these abilities to uncover a murder/kidnapping ring and getting justice for those victims. I enjoyed it, a very entertaining read.

A group of women come together organically, each one possessing a power. The women each discover a terrible truth happening in their town. Girls are disappearing. The women collectively decide to find out what happened, and punish those responsible.

The way this book came together. The different stories the women had. Their friendships. I absolutely loved this book.

I didn’t find myself interested in the story and didn’t want to pick the up to keep reading.

I loved it. Harriet, Jo and Nessa were all such well thought out characters and their unlikely bond was seamless. The book was gripping until the last page and I loved how background characters were fleshed out, as they were all part of the story in the end.

Lost a star for several grammatical errors and the almost-overdone feminist angle. All the male characters were assholes and all the female characters were man-haters. It just felt a bit too much.

Otherwise, a great read!

The feminist theme is quite strong in this book. I overall enjoyed this book but the feminist theme was overwhelming for me.

Interesting story, slow moving, comes together nicely in the end. Lots of female empowerment.
