Possibly the funniest thing I've ever read. Reminds me of a 19th Century Bill Bryson.

Runs low on charm after 20 pages, missing some of the magic from the first one, some of the language is still clever and delightful.

Really enjoyed this sequel to “Three Men in a Boat,” although nothing can really hold a candle to that!

Very funny, not any sort of disappointment for me after reading Three Men in a Boat. Do not be dissuaded from taking it up. Jerome is still the very definition of drollery.

Not as funny as Three Men in a Boat. The view of Germany before the wars and reflected insight into British attitudes is interesting.

Fun read, especially when you live near or have been to many of the locations in the book.
Parts of it are still very relatable and relevant today, especially his thoughts on the spreading of the English language.

I was made to look like a fool while listening to this audiobook. It made me laugh hysterically and abruptly. I was relatively alone, but I was driving around town and people undoubtedly saw me rocking back and forth in laughter and smiling like goon while driving around in my logo-ed work vehicle. The narrator does a lot of the heavy lighting and definitely makes this book considerably funnier.
