Never thought I’d be into the best friend’s dad trope, but Cleo White just has a magic pen when it comes to writing an age gap romance 🤷‍♀️

Sophie is a simple girl, but there’s a sweetness in her character that makes you believe in HEA. She’s not “weird” like she and her bestie claim she is—literally, everything about her screams ordinary—but she’s still likeable.

Bram is hot. The man has a filthy mouth, but still knows how to speak from the heart. He’s all business until it comes to charming Sophie, and I ate it up!

The book begins with the two of them already having had feelings for each other for the past year, so it kind of feels like we’re starting from the middle. I wish we got flashbacks or something to create some kind of build up. It was giving insta-lust, which I’m not against, but it doesn’t align with the rest of their story.

This is a holiday novella, and yet there aren’t many festive elements. Even when they say “let’s do holiday things,” they don’t actually do them, or at least none that we get to read about. A snowstorm is not a substitute for the Christmas spirit.

They talk a lot about kinks, which makes sense considering that they finally admit their attraction to each other because they matched on a kink-based dating app; however, they don’t do much kinky stuff. The only items they seem to check off the list are temperature play and a breeding kink—pretty tame stuff compared to the scandal I was anticipating.

In terms of the writing, it felt kind of lazy sometimes. Sophie says Bram’s full name so many times—he’s a hot man, not a god. Also, whenever they’re doing the deed, all she ever says is “Bram,” which is boring!

Overall, this was a fun, quick, spicy read. The Christmas vibes were very minimal, so it doesn’t change the experience if you read this on a sunny Summer day. I expected more adventure, but Sophie and Bram’s tender interactions almost make up for it.

Well I had just an amazing time reading this one!! A Christmas short story, best friends dad, forbidden romance my god!! I loved it! It was super short spicy and so easy to get addicted to! This is my first Cleo white book and I can’t wait to read more because I’ve heard such incredible things!!!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book!! I think some spicy short novellas is exactly what I need right now so I can’t wait to read the rest of this series 🎄💼🩷

I love that even though this is a novella it still has a story line and build up it doesn’t just just straight in

Thank you so much for the ARC! I love a spicy holiday novella.
Bram and Sophie were hot. Not sure if Bram’s daughters have books, but I’d love to read about them!

***ARC Review***

I love Cleo White and was so excited to get the opportunity to read her newest novella early. Chilled and Thrilled is also the start to her newest series Daddy Issues. This was an amazing start and thoroughly made me excited for the future installments.

Bram and Sophie are so CUTE, not to mention very hot. We start the story off with a very drunk, very HILARIOUS Sophie out on the town with her friends when she sees Bram out on a date. She proceeds to puke all over his $300 shoes. I was HOWLING for the entirety of the beginning. It was such an amazing intro to not only the comedic genius that is Sophie but also to this story as a whole. We discover quickly that Bram is head over heels for her, his daughter's best friend. I love their banter. This has a very instalove feel to it, but not because its a traditional meet and bam, they're in love. A lot of their love story was before this book took place but I didn't feel like I missed much. This story is their final giving into feelings and getting together. Saying that, it didn't leave me wanting or unsatisfied. This was the perfect snapshot at this couple's life and I am so thoroughly happy with it. I can't wait for more (we get a bit of a hint at who the next book will be about--YAY!).

This book is a hard 4

As soon as I finished this book I instantly missed the banter, and spice 🤭. I knew there was spice in the book, but the kinks I was not expecting! (ice play and br33ding k!ink are involved 👀).I love the whole trope of forced proximity, as Sophie and Bram were both snowed in over Christmas, and it doesn’t disappoint here either. I did think that some word choices, for me personally, I would’ve chosen different ones as it was a bit cringe at times. I loved the short representation of religious trauma and fractured relationships with family. I loved everything about both of Sophie and Bram but I especially love how multiple times he went out of his way to make her feel special and do things to try help heal her trauma 🥺. These two just click, the banter, the way they just mesh together is amazing and like they’re meant to be and you can feel it. I did feel like the relationship went from 0 to 100 real quick so it did take a bit of getting used to when reading that, but it didn’t make me bond with the characters any less or see the chemistry between them any less! My favourite part had to be when someone, no spoilers 👀🤭, is revealed to have a snoring problem... 😂 it was just the most hilarious scene, I was laughing so much! I loved the fact it was set in the holiday time, but I loved even more that it was over Christmas! It made the things Bram did for her even sweeter 🥰

This is a best friend's dad, age gap colleague romance. There's a 20-year difference between our love interests, but they are both consenting adults. At the start of the book, we learn that they have both been fighting their attraction to each other for over a year, but circumstances cause them to be snowed in together at the MMCs house where they can no longer fight said attraction. This book is spicy, and I love it. I had so much fun reading this on. It was a short quick read, but I felt like I got a full story. I was hooked from the very first page. The reason this one didn't get the full 5 stars was because it needed a bit more editing and it was a bit repetitive at times. I normally don't comment on editing issues unless it affects my reading and unfortunately that was the case with this one. I found myself having to read sections back because the use of the wrong word made what I read not make sense. Other than that, though I loved this and can't wait to continue this series.

I can’t read anything with breeding kink
