Fun YA spy novel, enjoyed entering the world of the Gallagher Academy. Fast read with a good group of characters. This book lays the foundation for a series with a lot of potential.
Fun read! Cammie "Chameleon" Morgan attends the Gallagher Academy for Girls. It's not like all the other snooty, girls boarding schools. This one is a top-secret school for girls that are spies-in-training! Challenging classes like CoveOps, Advanced Ecncryption, Farsi, etc. prepare these girls for the world of a spy...but they don't do much to prepare them for the huge challenge of meeting a boy and dating!

Since, I finished Gallagher Girls recently, certain things has been bugging. I simply have to read it. All I can say is I love it so much better now. And I could help but to chuckle darkly at what's about to come for them. Oh my sweet summer children.

Gallagher Girls has been sitting in my kindle for a while and I actually tried reading it before, but I wasn't impressed with the writing.
The funny thing about it, I talk like the protagonist online and offline. I used a lot of exclamation points and unnecessary parenthesis. I didn't realized how annoying that is until I'm not the one who's doing it. The good thing is, I got used to it and it eventually got better. This is not a perfect book. There were some snubbing other girls part, but overall it is sweet and adventurous.

One of the best books I have read this year! Who doesn't like spys?
I really enjoyed this book, but unfortunately the audio book narrator kind of annoyed me...she said "Gallagher Girl" the same way Ryan Seacrest always says, "AMERican Idol!" and I disliked her voice for the main character and some of her reading choices. Her voices for the adults were OK, I just thought the teenage voices were forced and emphasis in the wrong place, etc. I'd love to read the remainder of the series, though, because the writing is clever and amusing.
12 year old me loved these books for a reason. These books inspired me to become bilingual (successful) and try martial arts (less successful). 10/10 glimpse into my preteen psyche.
Ally Carter still remains one of my favorite authors from my teen years. Her writing style is unassuming and simple, which I find so relaxing and fun to read. I could read this series over and over! Highly recommend even if you aren’t a teenager. These books are a great palette cleanser if you’ve been reading really heavy or dense books and need a break.
