The kind of book that i would reccoment to my 10 year old kid to read. It's fun and idk, i just liked it.
An easy and predictable read but surprisingly captivating.
This is a really cute book and I will definiely read the next book in the series. It is probably for a slightly younger adience than your typical YA book, but I still enjoyed it. My full review is on my blog: http://jacquesbooknook.blogspot.com/2013/03/id-tell-you-i-love-you-but-then-id-have.html
I feel like I would've liked this book when I was 11 or 12...
Such a fun, fluffy read! The premise of a spy school is a different take on the whole “chosen one” trope and I really enjoyed the uniqueness that added. Cam and her friends were definitely still relatable teenager girls even so, with similar challenges and struggles to what I remember from my own teen days.
I definitely think this would have been a different experience if I’d read this as a teenager. Reading it as an adult, I was remembering how important boyfriend/girlfriend relationships felt then, and how fraught it often made your regular friendships feel in the moment. Still fun to read as an adult, but less poignant than it likely would have felt when I was younger?

I read the first few books in this series back in middle school and loved them, so when I saw this in a Little Free Library I snatched it up for a reread.
As a now 26 year old, it feels incredibly juvenile, but I don't even care because this book is hilarious. A spy school for teenage girls with snarky commentary? Give it to me. There's a little romance between our main girl and a normal neighborhood boy that's pretty cute. She's totally realistic in that she immediately becomes boy crazy (as I definitely was when I was 15), but it hurt a bit to read now. It was also a bit girl-hatey but it felt part of its time, and thank goodness we've grown into girls girls since then.

Thought I was a bit old for this book when I finally got around to it after it being sat on my shelf for a few years. It's not too bad, definitely a very interesting set of technology if you let yourself believe in that sorta thing. The story goes a bit wobbly just before it resolves itself again where I was left thinking between reading sessions "hmm, the entire point of the book seems to have just disappeared then".
Overall not a bad read but not an incredible one either - coming from a 19 year old!

2/2.5 stars. It could have been a lot better. I felt like the writing was for kids younger than 16/15, but towards the end that's when I started liking it. When there was some type of action. I was just hoping there would be some spy stuff going on as well, but I guess if I decide to get the other books maybe it'll get better.
SO corny but I loved every minute of it (okay the fawning over romantic interests got a bit excessive...she was a highly trained operative! I simply can't believe she'd be taken in by her hormones so easily.)
I can only imagine this being the back story to "Covert Affairs"

Umm hello, 13 year old me ate this up. I cannot remember the age of the characters in this book, but the romance and action of it were absolutely perfect. I loved every second and it made my tween heart go pitter patter.
