This was so good and so well written. A bit Americanized, but the romance was good. Definitely going to look for more by this author.

A superb romcom that doesn't blow the Indian culture out of proportion. It was lovely to experience a beautifully written book that pays homage to the culture as well as depicting beautifully human characters with stories of their own beyond the main plot.
The characters are so lovely, and I even teared up a couple times for Samara. She had a magnificent strength of character.
If you liked this, and you like historical romance too, you might like "The Grand Sophy" by Georgette Heyer. Samara reminded me muchly of Sophy, even with the family background -- a girl who learnt to take care of herself, and also how to fix everyone else along the way.

Technically speaking, there is much of an 'other woman' theme throughout the book because so much rests on the fact that Sharav is engaged, but I don't think there was true infidelity here, since they don't really indulge in a relationship while he's attached to Nonita.
