Dragonwatch by Brandon Mull

I'm a little over halfway through, and I'm just bored. The more I read of Brandon Mull, the less I like his books. I was bored and gave up on the first book in the Five Kingdoms series as well. I don't know if the writing is different, or if I would feel the same if I read his other books again. There are just too many good books for me to waste time on ones I don't like.

I loved the original 5 Fablehaven books, I recommend them all the time at the bookshop and I was very concerned that a new series attached on after the 5th book would be weak or ruin what was so great.

The news is that that isn't the case at all. Dragonwatch was fabulous, a great read and a wonderful pathway to a new series. Wonderful

Fablehaven is a favorite series with my family. This was a wonderful addition and I am excited to see what Mull does next with these characters.

This book was fantastic! I've had so much going on that I haven't been devoting much time to reading, so it's taken a while to finish this one, which sucks because it's amazing! If you read and enjoyed Fablehaven, you'll love this sequel series! I know I did!!

I received this book from a Goodreads Giveaway.

This is the first book I've read by Brandon Mull, but it won't be the last. Dragonwatch is a thoroughly enjoyable fantasy read for the 8-12 year age group. The book has dragons, fairies, nipsies, griffins, goblins, dwarfs, horses that read, as well as numerous other creatures of imagination (supposedly).

The main characters, Seth and Kendra, are a carryover from the previous Fablehaven series by Mr. Mull. The story draws you in from the beginning and makes you feel like you are there watching it as it unfolds. Dragons once helped to save the world, but are now trying to take over the world. Seth and Kendra are helping to prevent that from happening. I plan to read the original Fablehaven series while waiting for the next story in the Dragonwatch books.

I am one of the many adults who enjoy reading books intended for 8-12 year olds, as well as for young adults.
