It’s always a fun time with Kate, and I loved getting to see her fight alongside her two besties all together for the first time! Three additional Young Avengers were referenced, for the record, and so were Kate’s two previous costumes. I loved one specific shot of her looking into a mirror in her current costume and seeing her original costume self from Heinberg & Cheung’s first YA series looking back at her. It’s not the most original Hawkeye story and in fact harkens back to the Fraction/Aja series but I don’t really mind. It felt like a sort of love letter to Kate’s comic history. I liked the West Coast Avengers, but I’m excited to have Kate back in New York, where she belongs.
