DNF ~ No rating

Not a fan of MCs sleeping with other people.

ETA: also... the story wasn't that great to begin with.

2012 - Loved it, couldn't put it down :)

****Reviewed for Prism Book Alliance®****

I first read Drawn Together in 2012. At that time I wasn’t doing big reviews and my comment on Goodreads was: “Loved it, couldn’t put it down :)” Revisiting it now, while I still enjoyed it, and loved the audio presentation, there were a few flies in the honey.

I loved Rory and Yamane as characters. I thought they were well balanced and interesting. Greg Boudreaux did an excellent job on Rory`s accent and had a good voice for Yamane as well. The travelling was fun and I liked the plot.

What I didn`t like was that Rory always referring to Yamane as a girl. He often called Yamene “Princess” even when Yamane asked him not to. The fact that Rory was mistaken about Yamene’s gender in the beginning made this feel like he couldn’t let the idea of his dream woman go to really embrace Yamene for who he was.

However, that was my only real beef with the story. The sex was hot, especially the last scene. Greg knows how to narrate sex! There is conflict and danger. There is humour. Best of all, we get our splendid Happily-ever-after and all is well.

This book was much more intense than I expected it to be and spicer too. It’s a whirlwind romance with some pretty intense stalking/violence situations. But overall, a really good story, though a little predictable at times. The lgbtq romance was addictive, though a little fast in the beginning. It wrapped up nicely in a happy ending and the characters were real and lovable throughout. The book shifts perspectives pretty frequently and rapidly, but I didn’t mind too much.

This was like a yaoi manga in book form.

Just as bonkers, just as unbelievable, just as bingeable.

I loved this book so much. I went into it thinking it would just be a quick piece of fluff but was quickly taken in by the story and now i'm in love. I adore both boys and their romance. I am so glad I picked this book up and would reccomend this book to anyone. Well anyone who doesn't mind reading a few sex scenes.

This was really cute. Completely unrealistic, but very cute.

You have to suspend a LOOOOOOOT of disbelief to read this one, though. And the very ending had like, three or four chapters of unnecessary melodrama. But otherwise, it was really cute.

Umm.. picked this up because it looked like an endearingly aughts oc story. But then it read like a less than endearing aughts oc story. One that needs a lot of editing and pace changes.

FABULOUS!

Oh. My. God.

It was like, EVERYTHING, I love about reading fanfiction but in novel form. (I'm sorry if that is offensive Maxfield but seriously, take it as a compliment!!!)

The story was brilliant, the character was just darling and the other bits where just HOT. Wonderful!
