Wide ranging, and so not terribly in-depth. The book is fairly well researched but has a bit of an identity crisis. References are provided in the back, but not indicated in any way in the text. In trying to be a more accessible reading experience, the book might actually become less so.

I came across this through NetGalley and received it as an eARC, and I’m glad I did!

As I aim to read more books by the neurodivergent and disabled, this was helpful to read. While it centers his experience, it touches on the parent and family perspective/experience as well. I wish there was a bit more data weaved in, particularly near the middle and end as there was in the beginning, but that wasn’t a deterrent from finishing the book.

DID NOT FINISH: 16%

Just autism literature fatigue. The bits I did read and skim were very powerful and a lot of neat factoids throughout.
