While the extra info was fun, I just wanted more story

This was very fun. As a fan, I thought the field guide parts were adorable, Keefe’s detention records and journal entries were hilarious, and the novella was interesting. I’m glad we got different POVs.

The first half of this book was a guide to the Elvin world which I really enjoyed. It was interesting to get a deeper look into the culture of the Lost Cities and the characters themselves. And the second half of this book was a novella to go between books 8 and 9. And let me tell you, Shannon Messenger didn't hold back in leaving us with yet another cliffhanger. *sigh* I also may or may not have cried reading the novella. But I did enjoy it and am even more excited to read book 9 when it comes out now!

OMG literally THE guide to the KOTLC world. I am so in love with the Keeper of the Lost Cities series, and any of the questions that I had were answered in this book! Loving Fitzphie and Team Foster-Keefe!

Least face of the series since it's really just facts and a novella.

The first 500 or so pages were really redundant and pretty unnecessary, as they'd be helpful when reading the series but have spoilers, so anyone who's read the series knows all this already. The pictures were awesome though (Although that is NOT what I thought the Goblins or Ogres looked like) And I swear I thought Oralie was more fairy princess then the picture depicted her as. But the last 200 novella story made up for everything and was so amazing I cried at the end holy crap, so good.

This is basically a reference book for all things Keeper of the Lost Cities. I went through all of it but it got long. But, it has a 200 page "novella" at the end. That part was great. It may be one of my favorite stories so far. It just focuses on the main characters, not all the many added ones, and it's not full of the lovey dovey stuff as much. All her books should be so short and concise.

Finally finished this series (so far)! A little book club of (now former) students and I started this on a whim, and we all became obsessed! Sure, the books have their flaws, but you can’t help but love the characters and story. Can’t believe we have to wait so long for the next installment (but understandable).
