Second books of a trilogy mostly struggle to keep the story going but I think Thunderhead was very well done. So many crazy things happened, really enjoyed the development of the characters and the plot as well. This trilogy is at least a 4/5, but I actually liked the 2nd book more than the first so I’m giving this one 4.25/5

Absolutely love the use of dramatic irony and the commentary on political apathy. I also love the use of religion in the story itself. I'm also starting to enjoy the commentary and use as a literary device of how people follow rules vs how computer programs follow rules.

Neal Schustetman’s ability to craft characters is exceptional and this is abundantly clear in Thunderhead. A thrilling sequel that accomplishes plot in the most engaging, and in the end, subversive, way. A story that only moves faster and more invigorating with each page, the lives of characters weaving together in an increasingly masterful tapestry of narrative.

Excuse me while I rush to the library for the next one.
