A ROLLERCOASTER OF EMOTIONS. I picked this up because I heard that Megan Nolan’s writing style is similar to Sally Rooney’s and I was looking for an author to read while waiting on Rooney’s next release. Although I feel it’s not comparable to a Rooney novel, I enjoyed it. The protagonist is sooooo messy (which I love). Nolan did a great job of portraying a toxic relationship while also touching on the many complexities of the female experience. I would only recommend this book to the Rooney and/or Moshfegh girls that get it.
