I get that these books aren’t meant to ever be mistaken for good literature, but this one was so ridiculous and the ending was so rushed that I struggled to even enjoy it very much. Let’s hope the third is better

I have to be in the minority when I say the author ruined this experience. The lack of foreshadowing ruined a lot of things for me. Also the drastic 180 character changed mad me even more upset. Had this book been the first in the series it may have been better. But this book made the whole first book fucking pointless. Changing your main character that drastically is stupid when you don't even foreshadowing anything is so so stupid. The fantasy aspect of it was great but there was too many plot holes. It felt like Twilight if magic were involved. The only reason I'm continuing this series is because of Rhys and the side characters. Just want a waste of a good story line.
