I went into ACOMAF thinking it was going to be all smut and a bit overhyped… I was wrong! This book completely defied my expectations.

What this book is actually about is depression and healing and found family and actual true love. The Spring Court just ignoring how miserable Feyre was and that she was wasting away was awful. Rhys stepping in not to “save her” but help her save herself is the exact ML we all want. Most of the novel focuses on Feyre’s very real trauma and her finding her strength again while trying to prepare for the looming threat of Hybern.

The ROMANCE omg. I love romance novels that are more about the story. I prefer that the coupling feels like a right next step and not just a gratuitous sex scenes. The build up of trust in each other and in themselves was so good that i bawled during Chapter 54 and left 55 for a later date.

Very much looking forward to the next novel!

Finally the story starts to develop after the first book! We get to know other Courts, what they are and how they act. I loved the new characters and their backstories. They are such broken and morally grey, yet lovable and amazing characters. Of course the romance in this book was electrifying!

This BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING, OUTSTANDING, EXQUISITE BOOK HAS NOW BEEN NAMED MY NEW FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME.
There is SO much to this storyline and to this series and I am so in love with Sarah J. Maas’s writing it’s beautiful and so well thought out and everything ties together perfectly.
All the characters in this damn book, well, except for some of them, are SO LOVABLE. SO SO SO LOVABLE. I LOVE Feyre, and she is becoming my favorite main character to a book ever, and I
LOVE RHYSAND, and I LOVE MOR AND AMREN AND CASSIAN AND AZRIEL AND THEYRE JUST SO FUCKING PERFECT I WANNA CRY.

Anyway to keep it brief this book has an amazing building plot to it, a romance that is an absolute delight, character development, found family, LOVABLE CHARACTERS and SO much that happens in one book but in the best possible way. I 🫶 Sarah J. Maas and will read anything that she writes from now on. 5 WOULDN’T COVER IT. ♾️/5 star rating for this bitch.

To be honest, this book made me not really like Feyre at all. Especially getting to the end of the book.

Even better than ACOTAR, one of the best books I've ever read.
And the final line... *chef's kiss* (screaming & crying at that ending)
And so Tamlin unwittingly led the High Lady of the Night Court into the heart of his territory.
Very much looking forward to reading the next in the series

This book takes the characters and story in an interesting direction as compared to the first book.  I liked this one so much better!  Feyre grows so much, Rhysand is captivating, and we get to meet more characters.  The romance is actually interesting and doesn't fall flat.  The world also opens up more in this book.  I'm so glad I kept going with this series.

My favorite in the series so far. The first book was fine, but this one had me unable to put it down.
