This is an adult holiday/christmas romcom that has lots of heart and lots of fun. There are two twin sisters, and the plot follows them in two very different locations, a small town bakery in Canada and a LA baking TV show and when the twin sisters swap roles for a bit, both realize that they are better off together than apart. Plus swoony romances. Very hallmark movie and lots of oopsy daisy, adults probably shouldn't pretend to be each other for more than a phone call especially not a week! lol

The character motivation is so weak, and frankly, I could've used less medical trauma! Like, significantly less!

I went into this book knowing that it would be a lighthearted holiday romance, and that's exactly what I got from it. I was hoping for stronger characters and more compelling romance- I liked Cass and Miguel much better than Charlie and Jake, but I didn't feel like either relationship had the space to be fully developed. That in combination with the short timespan of the majority of the novel left me feeling disappointed and not able to suspend my disbelief that these couples would work. I enjoyed the ending but wish that more of the romance had been developed. I really loved all of the side characters- Faye and Sasha primarily.

I love Hallmark's holiday movies but the quality is not always great, so I was a little worried this book would go the same way. Luckily that wasn't the case! Twins swapping lives for Christmas is a great trope and both sisters were well written and interesting characters. Miguel and Jake were the perfect love interests and I'd love to see a movie adaptation of this, just not by Hallmark 😬
