I feel incredibly bad for Kokoro. The reality of her arranged marriage is setting in at a quick pace and she’s growing increasingly more anxious.

Hanakago, her fiancé, wants nothing more than to protect her but she wants him to drop dead (understandable, in her position).

Mr. Asahina, the art teacher, who is Hanakago’s best friend feels partially guilty about Kokoro’s marriage, due to his obligations to look after the safety of his students, but feels conflicted because he wants his best friend to find love.

There’s also a rumor that Kokoro’s dad is not selling his company to Hanakago, and thus guilting Kokoro into an arranged marriage with a lie.

(Wow, I feel like every adult in Kokoro’s life has failed her, my goodness.)

There were elements of this volume that I liked, primarily the development of our protagonists and their relationship. I feel like this volume started to give them more depth beyond the initial premise and I am starting to like them rather than just tolerating them. Despite this, the plotlines surrounding their club advisor, specifically the idea of a student falsely accusing him of assault, really rub me the wrong way. When it was just referenced I was able to overlook it, but now that it is becoming a more major focus it is getting frustrating and I don't understand why it was included in the first place.

Omg I loved the cameos in the sushi chapter!

I really liked the chapter with the girl who “can see into the future”! This should be made into a whole series; the two are so cute and it would have nice messages in it.
