This, Like the first one is a low 5 stars because there were some moments where i felt it was a little long and was ready for it to be over and this one also felt like we weren't making much progress towards the finish line and then we were kinda there and stuff was happening. BUT I still really enjoyed it and I am so excited to read this whole series again and see what i think upon a second read!

never going to recover... n.k. jemisin has become one of my favourite authors. i want to read everything she's ever written. this book reminded me i have never had an original thought in my entire life
