Trust me there is a lot of this stuff in the series that I hate, but the ending is not one of them (and I’m SHOCKED at myself that I do like the ending)

Series overall: books 1-4 feel like a cohesive unit and then the last 3 books are a melting pot of nonsense. Ending aside, there is a lot that left me underwhelmed in this conclusion.

Long days and pleasant night, thankee sai

I’ve changed my review 3 times now. The more I think on it the more I like the ending but that doesn’t redeem the frustrating events in the book

Gutted me. Absolutely gutted me, in the way only a terrific book/writer can, “Brilliant Sai King.”

Never have I read such a perfect yet absolutely horrifying ending to a series. I wanted to scream, but don't see how it could have finished in any other way.
The second half of the book was absolute perfection, but it did drag a bit in the beginning half in my opinion, hence the 4/5 stars.
Now pardon me as I go sit in a corner and cry for a while.

I am nearly speechless. The ending is everything I could have hoped for. This is a bittersweet moment for me, as The Dark Tower series has been important to me on a psychological level. I feel I've been on a personal journey along with Roland and his ka-tet. Sad to see it end.
