Love the series, BUT
I was not at all a fan of this book. I’ve literally devoured every Mary Stone book I’ve read to date, except for this one. It was incredibly hard for me to get through. In all of her series, the books are focused on one main heroine (Winter, Kylie, Ellie…), but Autumn’s series seems to be more about Winter & Justin than Autumn. Eager to read the next book, though.

I have really liked most of Mary’s books and I do like this one but I don’t really like the way it ended. I am ready to be done with this story line and it seems to go on forever. I can’t wait to read the next one if it’s not all about Justin.

I cannot get enough of Autumn and Winter. Though this read a tad more like it should have been Winter's story. Once you start reading you just cannot stop.

The day after Autumn almost dying, her best friend goes missing along with her serial killer brother Justin. Of course Autumn feels responsible. The whole team is a wreck. While the storyline is fascinating it is also brutal. I have been waiting to see what happened with Justin but would never have guessed how this turned out. So much death and tragedy. The story moves at break neck speed. I read it in one day. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next one. I try not to let consistency errors bother me but one of the main character is SSA Aiden Parrish. The author refers to SSA meaning Supervisory Special Agent (correct) and Special Supervisory Agent (incorrect) multiple times in the book.
