Listening to this book was super boring and I honestly didn’t understand anything…maybe Woolf just isn’t for a simple person like me 

4 for the imagery, but I might need to reread to get
a better grasp of the themes!

Let’s go trans people (Orlando‘s t4t marriage goes incredibly hard, ngl), but it’s not that deep and I wish it was

i mean … daring and poetic ideas? slay bisexual queen Virginia Woolf i guess. but the writing in Orlando is really boring, and the storyline barely recognisable - or did i just not pay enough attention? well maybe if it wasn’t quite as badly written, i would have.

This was a book that was picked for bookclub last month, it was one hell of a read though. I was completely entranced by Orlando's biography. I also really enjoyed how gender fluidity was used to discuss the shifting of trends and roles through time.
