The first 1/3 of this book was so good but the second half dragged on way too long.   I found the main character Morgan to be super annoying and hard to like at times.

I did enjoy this book. However, it wasn’t my favorite Colleen Hoover book. This book had a sweet mother-daughter bond and relationship. This book was a hard read and a tear-jerker.

Clara Grant is a sixteen year old and her mother, Morgan Grant clash because they are nothing alike. When a a tragic incident strikes, there is a rift in the relationship between Morgan and Clara.

This book is filled with secrets and forbidden love! Will Clara and Morgan have a falling out or will they be able to mend their relationship?

SUMMARY:

Regretting You by Colleen Hoover is a novel that explores the complicated relationships between mothers and daughters, and the ways in which they can be both powerful and destructive. The story follows Morgan and her teenage daughter, Clara, as they navigate the aftermath of a tragic accident that changes their lives forever. The novel is well-written and engaging, but unfortunately, it falls short in terms of character development and plot. While the mother-daughter relationship is the central focus of the novel, the characters are not fully fleshed out, and their motivations and actions are often confusing. Additionally, the plot is predictable and lacks the emotional depth that one would expect from a novel about grief and loss. That being said, the novel does have some redeeming qualities, including some well-written and poignant scenes that explore the complexities of motherhood. Overall, Regretting You is a decent read, but it falls short of the expectations set by Colleen Hoover's previous works.

The mother-daughter relationship in Regretting You is at the heart of the novel. Morgan and Clara have a complicated relationship, and their grief over the accident only serves to deepen the divide between them. Throughout the novel, we see the ways in which they struggle to communicate with each other and the misunderstandings that arise as a result. While their relationship is fraught with tension and conflict, there are also moments of tenderness and love that shine through. The novel is a reminder of the power of forgiveness and the importance of family, even in the face of tragedy.
