Leamas is an operations agent for the British intelligence service during the Cold War. His team is all turned and killed and he is cashiered from the agency, seemingly. What results is one of the most complicated counter-intelligence operations ever written.

There are many plot twists and double crosses that had me on the edge of my seat, hating when I had to take a break from reading. I believe I have found a new favorite author and I won't stop until I have read everything available by John le Carre(accent ague).
